Launched in 2000, Business Accounting Network (BAN) is the first accounting franchise in South Africa, servicing the small and medium size business sector.

YESTERDAY

After 13 years in the accounting profession in one of the top five audit firms in South Africa, founder and CEO Monique Sharland realised that talented accountants were leaving audit firms in search of more stable hours and better pay.

By designing the first franchised accounting network in 2000, she achieved her goal of helping professional accountants to live a balanced lifestyle without compromising on their career and monthly income

TODAY

Our national network of accountants is like family – we support each other with knowledge transfer, provide the tools necessary for you to achieve success, indulge in regular banter and throw in an occasional good and wild time to remind us that we are part of a team.

TOMORROW

Our aim is NOT to be the biggest accounting franchise, but rather the most well-respected and highly recommended by our satisfied clients and successful Franchisees. We will continue to bring on board accountants who meet our strict criteria of ethics, experience, expertise, and service excellence while providing everything you need to be successful.

We don’t sell franchises, we award franchises
to talented accountants.

We are a national network of professional accountants, chartered accountants, and tax and business advisory experts servicing the small and medium size business sector in South Africa.
