Profile:
Zaahid Ali Datay completed his undergraduate degree in Business Science with a focus on Finance and Accounting in 2011, followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting in 2012 at the University of Cape Town. In 2013, he joined PricewaterhouseCoopers to undertake his three-year SAICA articles training. During this period, Zaahid gained extensive experience in auditing within the retail sector, including listed companies such as Shoprite and PEP Holdings. After completing his articles, Zaahid pursued a role at Mulilo Renewable Project Development as a Financial Manager and later advanced to Group Finance Manager. He dedicated nearly a decade to Mulilo, where he played a pivotal role in the development and operations of numerous solar and wind projects, contributing to the successful closure of high-value projects within the renewable energy sector.
