Driven by this interest, I pursued a BCompt degree at UNISA and successfully completed my SAICA articles with HBLT Chartered Accountants Inc. in Gauteng.
Professional Experience
During my articles, I worked with a broad spectrum of clients, ranging from small, owner-operated businesses to Non-Profit Organizations. This experience provided me with a solid foundation in financial management across diverse sectors, including Logistics, Manufacturing, and Agriculture.
In the corporate environment, I advanced to roles as a Financial Accountant and later as Group Financial Accountant for an FMCG-listed company. In these positions, I played a key role in developing systems and procedures that reduced audit time and costs, achieving year-on-year improvements in internal audit efficiency.
Key Competencies
I have a particular passion for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and believe they are vital to the economic growth of our country. As an Associate General Accountant member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), I am fully qualified to perform all duties of a professional accountant and accounting officer.
Since February 2017, I have served as a franchisee with BAN, further expanding my expertise in bookkeeping, accounting, VAT submissions, financial statement compilation, tax return filings, and fulfilling all company secretarial responsibilities.
