Maryna has 15 years' experience in the accounting and auditing profession. She obtained her National diploma: Internal Auditing in 1994 from Port Elizabeth Technikon. In 1997 she successfully completed traineeship and qualified as a Practicing Member of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants. From 1993 to 2000 she was employed as an accountant and later supervisor by first Mazars Moores Rowland and then PriceWaterhouseCoopers Inc. in Port Elizabeth. During this period she was also an examination moderator at Port Elizabeth Technikon for Construction Accounting 111.

Maryna moved to Cape Town in 2000 where she was employed by a well-known advertising company as Financial Manager. In 2001 she joined Mazars Moores Rowland in Cape Town as Accounting Manager in the Business Services Department until finally joining Business Accounting Network in 2008.
